Play with Clay

The two little ones played with clay and Joaquin sculpted his new favorite Pokemon, Oshawott.

Atlas is really into his lab glasses lately

Pizza

Joaquin had a friend sleep over on Friday night, so it seemed like a good night for us to all make pizza. It was a lot of fun and tasted fantastic!

Shortly after this, Oliver dipped his dough in his lemonade.

Pizza was great!

Bath Paint

My aunt sent us a package with some of those cool 'growing' washcloths (start out as tight little squares, then open up to a fun washcloth in water), so I thought it would be fun to do a bath craft. We made bath paints, using tearless shampoo, mixed with cornstarch, and a few drops of food coloring. It was easy and the kids all had fun with it.

Gone Fishing

Tonight we made a toy or game, magnetic fishing poles and fish.

Drawing the fish out on foam

 Coloring the fishing pole
Finished fish, stuffed with foam, they work in the bath, too!

Magnets on their mouths

Lots of fun play!

Secret Message!

The boys used feathers and ink to write secret messages to their friends. We used sealing wax to close them.

Melting his sealing wax, Joaquin's message is just too secret to display online!

Rainbow Cake

Joaquin was teaching Atlas about Noah's ark and decided to make a cake themed from the story. The three of them baked a rainbow cake.

Literary Library Bag

Atlas finished his cool library bag. We used the printer to copy pictures from his favorite books, then he arranged them on the contact paper. We sewed up the edges and re-enforced them all with packing tape.

Pictures come from the books, Skippy John Jones; Rocko and Spanky; Little Bear; A Lonely Doll; No, David!; There Was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly; My Name is Nicole; and Olivia.
