Headbands and Tee Pees

Cool fall day, great for creating indoors with friends. The kids made Indian head bands and mini tee pees for their play mobile figures.
Best buddies! They each made up their own names, Ollie was Dancing Skeleton, Atlas was Thunder Grizzely, Indigo was Princess Moonbeam (I helped her:)), and I can't remember Jackson's.

A great day for blanket forts!

Playdough Cupcakes

Not edible cupcakes... but lots of fun to use our imagination.... We made playdough, with kosher salt, not a good idea, it gave it a corse texture. We made all the colors of the rainbow, then turned them into play cupcakes.

Cooking with the Garden

Cooking is always popular in our home. My boys love to help. With a beautiful garden full of squash, we made lots of yummy food.

Gone Fishing!

We have a small stream that runs through our backyard in the summer time, perfect for G.I. Joes, muddy toes, pirate adventures, and fishing. We made fishing poles and foam fish with magnets, to have a relaxing afternoon in the sun.

While the boys were busy fishing, my mom and I worked hard on completing a mosaic fire pit.

Bubbles!

Used pipe cleaners to make bubble wands.

Garden Murals

My computer crashed at one point, and we went without for a few months. We got a computer in the house again in September, but it was hard to start blogging again, life is always so busy with four kids. I did take photos of most of our projects, so over the next few posts I will post these. So here I go, I'm going to try to get this blog happening again.

This summer we made a raised vegetable garden. I can't seem to keep anything plain and simple, so we had the kids use acrylics and cover the once simple wooden frame, with beautiful colors!
